Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHV)


The Housing Authority of the of the City of San Buenaventura (HACSB) is pleased to announce that as part of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, our agency has received allocation to fund up to 43 EMERGENCY HOUSING VOUCHERS. The HACSB has partnered with the Ventura County Continuum of Care Agency, Coordinated Entry System to refer applicants who are already connected to the Coordinated Entry System and will be referred by case managers assigned to provide client housing support and resources . The applicants must meet the 30% AMI income limit, be currently homeless, recently homeless, or fleeing domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or human trafficking, as defined by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.

If you think you are eligible for an EHV, please contact the applicable COC partnering agency on the list. Please note that connection to the Coordinated Entry System does not guarantee your eligibility or prioritization for housing or rental subsidy assistance.

LANDLORD INCENTIVE for leasing to a EHV holder:
$1,000 signing bonus for each voucher leased
Security Deposit Assistance for the EHV holder (assistance not to exceed $1000.00)
Supportive service from the referring agency to the EHV voucher holder
Incentive payments will be paid to the landlord within two weeks from the effective lease date.
