The City of San Buenaventura Housing Authority currently maintains an open waiting list with approximately 2300 applicants. A self-certified pre-application is required in order to be placed on the waiting list. The Housing Authority accepts applications only from individuals who are at least 18 years of age or emancipated by state law.
Prior to being assisted, applicants are contacted to determine final eligibility based on income, family composition, proof of immigration status and a clear criminal background check.
Applications are processed and ranked by date and time received. If you are interested in applying, or have any questions regarding our application procedure, please contact our office for further information.
Priority is given to applicants who can show proof of living
or working in the City of Ventura at the time of eligibility
determination.
