Mission
The
Resident Services Department assists public housing residents
and Section 8 clients to become better educated and economically
self-sufficient, by creating pride, respect, and stability
through job training, job placement; and educational, cultural,
and recreational programs.
Department Goals
Established in 2007, the Resident Services Department has a list
of goals to aid in assisting the residents of the HACSB.
Those goals include:
Providing educational development, employment training, job
placement, and job retention services.
Establishment of Resident Councils and Resident Advisory Boards.
Encourage and increase community participation.
Expand Resident Service Programs in the following areas:
Children's Programs
Elderly Programs
Home Ownership
Fund
Resident Programs by identifying and pursuing alternative
funding sources.
Establish
Inter-Agency agreements with local service providers and use
grants and other funding sources to support programs.
