Housing Preservation Program

The City of Ventura contracts with the Housing Authority of the City of San Buenaventura to implement the Housing Preservation Program.  Owner-occupied rehabilitation loans, lead testing, and remediation grants encompass many of the Housing Preservation programs.

Based on your income and property location, this program may be able to assist you in rehabilitating and/or remediating your home.  Many of the eligibility requirements are outlined below:

     Own a single family home or up to a four unit multiple family residence
     Reside on the property
     Have the financial capability to repay the loan
     Be within the established income limits and area boundaries

Low interest loan program offers:

     3 percent current interest rate
     $25,000 maximum loan amount
     Fifteen-year repayment period

Typical repairs may include:

     Plumbing/Sewer
     Electrical
     Re-roofing
     Painting
     Windows and doors
     Structural repairs
     Kitchen and bathroom remodeling
     ADA accessibility improvements
