RESIDENT OPPORTUNITIES

Since the inception of the Resident Services Department in 2007, its goal has been to increase resident accessibility to various services and service providers. The Resident Services Department pursued funding and was successfully awarded a grant to coordinate supportive services and other activities to help residents attain economic and housing self-sufficiency. This program uses housing authority staff expertise and their connection to and knowledge of local resources to help link residents with needed services.

The following set of services, either directly or through referral, are offered through this grant:
  • Financial Literacy
  • Credit Repair
  • Banking and Money Management
  • Real Life Issues
  • Mentoring
  • Job Readiness
  • Homeownership Readiness
  • Provision of Professional Clothing
  • Parenting Courses
  • Earned Income Tax Information
