RESIDENT SERVICES
Mission
The Resident Services Department
assists public housing residents
and Section 8 clients to become
better educated and economically
self-sufficient, by creating pride,
respect, and stability through job
training, job placement; and educational,
cultural, and recreational programs
Department Goals
Established in 2007, the Resident
Services Department has a list of
goals to aid in assisting the residents
of the HACSB. Those goals include:
- Providing educational development,
employment training, job placement,
and job retention services.
- Establishment of Resident
Councils and Resident Advisory
Boards.
- Encourage and increase community
participation.
- Expand Resident Service
Programs in the following
areas:
- Children's Programs
- Elderly Programs
- Home Ownership
- Fund Resident Programs by
identifying and pursuing alternative
funding sources.
- Establish Inter-Agency agreements
with local service providers
and use grants and other funding
sources to
support programs.
